Where on earth do I start in thanking you for my care?
Unfailingly attentive in answering all my needs.
Responding to every call, no matter when or where;
Full of profesional skill, full of helpful deeds.

The symptoms of illness or injury are sometimes hard to understand;
But your training and experience will always stand you in good stead,
And what can beat professional knowledge when combined with a helpful hand?
This makes for a successful calling to which you seem intimately wed.

It is clear and self-evident that nursing is a noble vocation,
And the task of repairing people's ills is never really finished.
So please accept my thanks, and deep appreciation,
For I am returning home much better and my injuries diminished.

(Written on the occasion when Jutta had a fall and asked Tony to write a poem to the nurses caring for her, on her behalf.)
