Strange indeed it is to confront this conumdrum,
Though it’s often a relief to depart from the humdrum.
We speak of our very dear friend Heather,
Though sometimes one can wonder whether,
She will ever lose that distinctive sparkle,
Even when confronting the very worst debacle.
As she deals with her world with characteristic imperiousness,
And have you ever seen anyone who can better powerdress?
She can mark out a troublemaker with a gimlet eye,
And if you’re tempted to argue about it, don’t even bother to try!
She can cut to the quick with a razor-sharp mind,
Yet respond to the plight of her friends with acts generous and kind.
So in the hope that this message has not seemed too cursory,
We delight in celebrating with you another happy anniversary.
