Dearest Jutta,
Now is the time to spend our lingering years together.
We have drawn circles round our children and our friends,
posting these in the long index of our lives.
We have transformed all our happenings into memories,
and banished our regrets - it's too late to make amends.
But there is time instead to treasure our life together.
Time to create space and peace, to make life like a windless summer's day.
Time to feel proud of our endeavours, but in the privacy of our minds,
and courage to recognise that even when alone, we will continue to sense each other.
We will always rejoice in our love - wanting no other way.
