You will find that we have just sent you our card,
But unfortunately it was somewhat marred,
By the omission of our cheque that we meant to enclose.
Just forgetfulness on our part, I suppose.
So once more we can wish you a very happy day,
And though that’s just about all we should say.
We should add that we miss you and love you a lot,
After all, you are the only granddaughter we have got!
